TechReady Inc. (“the Company”) protects the personal information of data subjects in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, and establishes and discloses the following privacy policy so that related concerns can be handled promptly.

1. Personal information we collect

The Company collects the following items directly through the consultation request form on this website, and access information is collected automatically to analyse how the site is used.

  • Optional — phone number
  • Required — message content
  • Collected automatically — online identifiers generated by cookies, device and browser information, pages visited and time spent

2. Purpose of collection and use

Personal information collected is used only for the purposes below. If the purpose changes, consent is obtained in advance.

  • Reviewing and replying to consultation requests
  • Contact required to carry out the consultation
  • Managing the record of enquiries
  • Analysing how the website is used and improving the service

3. Retention and use period

The Company retains personal information for one year from the date the enquiry is closed, then destroys it. Where a law requires a longer retention period, the information is kept for that period.

If a data subject requests deletion before the retention period expires, the information is destroyed without delay.

Website usage data collected automatically is deleted once the data retention period configured in Google Analytics has passed.

4. Destruction procedure and method

Personal information is destroyed without delay once the retention period has passed or the purpose of processing has been achieved.

  • Electronic files — permanently deleted by a technical method that prevents recovery
  • Printed materials — shredded or incinerated

5. Consignment of personal information processing

The Company consigns the following processing tasks in order to handle enquiries, and the consignment contracts set out the terms required to keep personal information secure.

  • Resend — delivery of enquiry receipt and reply email
  • Slack — internal notification that an enquiry has been received
  • Google LLC — analysis of website usage (Google Analytics)

6. Transfer of personal information overseas

The Company transfers personal information overseas as set out below, in order to analyse how the website is used. You may refuse this transfer; see section 7 for how.

  • Destination country — United States
  • Time and method of transfer — sent over the network at the moment a visitor opens the website
  • Items transferred — online identifiers generated by cookies, device and browser information, pages visited and time spent
  • Purpose — analysing website usage and improving the service
  • Retention period — until the data retention period configured in Google Analytics has passed
  • IP addresses are used only to estimate approximate location and are not stored

7. Cookies and how to refuse them

The Company uses cookies to understand how the website is used. Cookies do not hold information that identifies a person directly, such as a name or phone number.

  • Purpose — analysing usage patterns such as pages visited and time spent, in order to improve the service
  • How to refuse — block cookies in your browser settings, or delete cookies already stored
  • Opting out of Google Analytics — install the opt-out add-on Google provides (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)
  • Refusing cookies does not restrict your use of the website

8. Rights of data subjects and how to exercise them

Data subjects may at any time request access to their personal information, correction or deletion, or suspension of processing. Requests may be made in writing or by email to the contact below, and the Company acts on them without delay.

Data subjects may exercise these rights through a legal representative or an authorised agent.
